I have a mid to late 60's cat D4 and am possibly looking for an engine or rebuild and was wondering what engine this is and in what other applications was it used. Any help would be much appreciated thanks, Robert

If you have a D4 its probably a D315, 4.5'' bore x 5.5'' stroke 350 c.i.d., also used in 941 track loader, 944 wheel loader 955c track loader and 112 grader. If you have a D4c,or D4D you have a D330, 4.75'' bore x 6'' stroke, 425 c.i.d. Also used in a handfull of track loaders, wheel loaders and a few graders.
