Have any of you ever put a clutch in a 1010? I need to know how to set the pressure plate fingers. The service manual calls for a JD 227 gauge, which is pretty expensive from the dealer. Is there any other way? If someone has one of these gauges and would be willing to share the dimensions with me, I could make one. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bryan, I did as steve said, traced the dealers and made one with alum. plate. Worked good for me. It also had measurements for steering plates.

Have the dealer trace their Jd7 guage on cardboard and use that. Tou can make one easily with a tracing.
