Locating original equipment parts for my 440 is becoming more and more difficult however the Industrial equipment dealer I buy from told me that a couple of companies have purchased outdated inventories from John Deere and that’s where they get their parts. The problem is that JD stacks on a healthy markup and they can be purchased much cheaper directly from the supplier. Even though he called them for my parts while I was there he said he was unable to give me the names. All in the interest of business I guess.
Does anyone know what the names of some of these distributors may be? Thanks in advance for any input..... ..... .

I used to work for a Deere dealer, and have heard of these warehouses. They buy obsolete or dead inventory from dealers, not from Deere itself, and sell only back to John Deere dealers, so you could not buy from them anyhow. I used to have the parts guys check on parts for me from these places, and there was very little stuff left. All these places got were mostly pieces the dealers could not sell, so any of the fast moving parts that sold well, never ended up there, or if they did, were resold soon anyway.
Why do you only want OEM? There are a lot of parts available aftermarket for a substantial savings over Deere. What is it you are looking for anyway?

1st off I was looking for all life arm bushings and pins as required. Pins are easy as I can have them made and hardened if necessary but the bushings in small quanities become more difficult. I also need an overhaul kit for the lift & bucket controls. Thanks,

Bushings are a real pain. A friend of mine was looking for some, and had little or no luck, most were long ago obsolete. I think though that the cylinder kits were a current number, but I believe he just had a local hydraulic shop do it for him.

I know a guy who has a machineshop make his bushings, he brings the old one and the pin so the shop can measure them , then the shop turns them on a lathe to the size needed. Seems like he said it was fairly reasonable in cost too.
