I know of an undercarriage rebuilder in Syracuse, NY. They will build up your worn rollers and sprockets, as well as offer track-pressing. I know very little of the quality of their work, only that they exist. They are TRR of Syracuse, (Track Roller Repair), and can be reached at Trackroller.com, 800-548-8726, 315-454-4424, 315-454-4496, or FAX # 315-455-2403. I know of them for the CHINESE SMALLDOZER distributorship that they have. If anyone has anything done there, I'd be very interested to hear how it turns out. The man that I had spoken to was Bob Covert, and he seemed honest and pleasant enough.

Good Luck,

Jeff

Well, I did some research, as someone else said something about spray welding roller in another post, so before you guys think this is something that you want to do and start calling and wasting these gentlemans' time...To weld the roller you must disassemble it, then clean it, then sandblast area to be welded to clean it. Then it is welded !! More then likely it must be rebored inside because of the heat from welding it. Then you assemble it. With luck the shaft and bushings are good BUT what about seals??? do you dare put it together with the old seals??? Well if its a small John Deer roller seals are about $25.EACH If it's and International could be $75.EACH So lets see... 2 hours labor at least @$50 per hour+$100. + $50 for seals =$150. New roller $120. each It maybe worth doing on some large rollers or on some front idlers but this is a dying practice. I
know another track shop not far from that one also but hesitate to put his name and number on here because I don't want to break any forum rules. Y'all can email me if you'd like the link to his site or phone no.

I agree. I just went through this with a Cletrac. I probably spent three hours per roller just on cleaning, disassembly, fitting, and reassembly, then a few hours of welding/hard-surfacing and over $100 in parts on each one. I would of gladly bought new ones for $200 apiece had they been available. If the part of be fixed was a $3000 front idler, it'd be a different story.
