The machine has lots of generic seals and bearings that you can get almost anywhere. If the engine is a Continental, that shouldn't be a problem either. CAT owns Continental/Red Seal now. As to the rest, it will behoove you to speak to Landis Zimmerman, his website is at:

http://cletrac.org/ The heavier Cletracs were well built machines, but I don't know where most have gone to. In my area (Central New York) there are many HG, OC3,OC4, and OC6 parts machines sitting in tractor salvage yards. But, it's a very rare occasion that I ever see any of the other or older Cletracs except at the scrap steel yard. Yet they WERE very popular machines here at one time. So . . . I know, a least in my area, I'd have a hard time finding used parts.

DW, As stated parts are scarce, but they are a tough tractor . I have one that was bought new in 1942 and I have been runnig for most of 50 years. This one has an 8 foot Heil trailbuilder mechanical
angle and tilt blade . Unless you are going after big trees it will do your clearing very well.
Heil blades have more draft angle so if you set it
down it will dig right now. If you bring it home,
remember that the rollers MUST HAVE 90 or 140 gear oil for lube , they use a drip system with
a reservoir and paste grease will not flow in the
system. The pin , bushing and loose bushing in the tracks keeps the sprocket and bushings from wearing out
as quick as ones without the loose bushing . Must have been a good idea , after many years of
scoffing at it Cat now uses it on the high track
models because without it thier sprockets wear out
and spin inside the tracks. But then Cat has always been a follower , Eimco built the rear engine
tractors in the 50's and 60's , cletrac gave up on the high sprocket in the early 20's ,cletrac
had the loose bushing track in the 20's and kept it for many years .
Cletrac is an easy handling machine as it uses controled differential rather than steering
clutches and brakes .
When I started the dirt business something over
35 years ago I bought a pair of Case 1000's , about twice the size and 3 or 4 times the power
with torque converter and power shift. george

Parts are not easy to find for that machine, at least not like they are for the smaller Oliver Cletracs like the HG, OC3, OC4, and OC6s. I ran a AG6 for awhile last year, had a Continental 6 cylinder flathead engine. Built much heavier than the little Cletracs, and not very powerful. Also had a non-conventional setup for the pins and bushings in the track chains - the bushings were two-piece instead of one. It was probably a good idea, but I don't know if you could ever get new track parts if you wanted them. I had a chance to buy the one I used for $1500 and the motor was just rebuilt. I probably should of bought it when I had the chance, but I've aleady got six crawlers, so I said the heck with it.
