I have been given an old grader. It has rubber inflated tires and resembles a tractor. It has a hercules engine and the blade is under the center between tires, about 8-9 foot. It has a cab on it that you enter thru the rear of the machine. Any ideas? Thanks

I might be wrong on this but the description sounds like what I've always heard called a Maintainer. The only thing different about what you describe and what I've seen is nowdays the cab is more like a normal tractor cab where you enter through a side door. I believe it's made by Maintainer Corp. I don't know how long they have been around in relation to the age of your machine though. I believe there were also a few other mfgs that made graders that didn't look like a grader in the more modern sense. I do know AC had one but the blade was further forward than you describe, if I remember correctly. Beyond that I don't know of any others off the top of my head. You might also try the HCEA site and see if anybody over there recognizes it.
