Looking at an IHC 500C with Drott 4 in 1 coming up at auction. Unit has torque converter. Is transmission hydro? Has two levers for left hand one seems to have a gate for neutral with forward and reverse slots. Another with a series of notches, assume for speed? Also has ripper without shanks. Grousers are welded onto street tracks.

Any experience with a similar unit? What is the weight? Horsepower (three cylinder diesel)? Any idea of going price?

Thanks,
Roger

I own a machine like what you're looking at. The levers on the left side are the throttle (one with all the groves) and the other is the direction shifter. You select a gear in the transmission and move the lever forward or backwards. On the floor you have a brake and a decellerator pedal ( decreases the RPM so you can shift from forward to reverse without having to move the throttle lever ). I belive that it weights around 13000# as set up with the bucket and ripper. The engine is about 40hp. As far as the worth, I have new track rails, sprockets, torque converter and the engine was freshened up (none professionaly)and I would'nt sell it for less than $7500 here in Wisconsin. Prices do vary upon location. E-mail me if you would like any more info. Kurt

Thanks for the info Kurt.

The crawler loader brought $4500. I bid $4400. Brakes (pedal)needed replacing. Clutches and turning brakes needed adjusting or replacing. Tracks looked good as did sprockets. Had been sitting inside for a number of years. Not beat up and had 1700 hours on clock.

Maybe next time.

Roger
