Scott, it maybe easier to pull it out at this time can't be much left to get it out then you can clean up or replace clutch and you know for sure what shape it is in. If you need parts for this machine email me and I will send you a link to someone that can help you

Yes Iam thinking of at least pulling it forward a bit so I can be sure its the motor not the trany bearing or somthing.

No it moves freely, extends out and trys but still doesn't turn the crank.
I pulled it off and double check it, looks good

Had the blower off yet?
thats what had mine set up.
Also have heard that the oil pumps can seize on those too.
Just make sure pto lever is in off position and it is in neuteral too.

no, the blower has not been off yet.
Do I have to pull the block to get it off???

Where is the oil pump at, I took the oil pick off so I know where that hole is.

How can I reach into the clutch plate and try and tap the disk?? it should move off the flywheel right?? straight back, it sits on a pline like a car correct? The starter hole is about the biggest hole I have to check this with.
there seems to be no other way to get in there, short of pulling the motor.

I put a pipe wrench on the sleave of the pto up front and I can get a very slight movement in the crank, but now I think I sheared the pin.

any thoughts on the above????

If the transmission is in nuetral, it won't matter if the clutch is stuck, you will just turn the input shaft with the crankshaft. Only catch would be if the input shaft bearing is seized, not an uncommon thing. Does the crawler have a reverser? If so put it in nuetral as well to try it.
IF there is any chance it is the blower, I would be careful not to wreck it.

Reverser is between engine and transmission. I might have an extra 440ICD parts manual if you are interested.

Yes Iam interested.
I ordered one form this web page but it hasn't come yet.
I sent an e-mail today to see if has ben sent yet.
My email is Ttalkers@aol.com

There is a long vertical rod on the left hand side of the gages as you sit in the tractor it will not budge, but today the tranny shifts into all gears.

I have taken every thing off of the front of the engine, even the oil pump housing. The only thing left is the supper charger, can I take this off without pulling the motor?????
there is a thin cover on the front and a few bolts on the side that appear to hold it on the block.
Now the crank will move freely, slop about .030 or so and the two pulleys will rotate slightly when I rock the crank from the front.
One of these looks like a cam and the other is something else. The cam has a pulley on it, there was a belt on it. there other has a pull also but no belt went around it.

If I pull the cover where the shifter is 4 gears and reverse, can i rotate the input shaft freely from there?????
thanks
Scott
