Well, I changed the tranny fluid and started and moved her across the yard. Everything appears to work like I think it should. Quite different having never operated anything other than a Bobcat. I'll get used to it. Here are my ?
1) I fixed all of my rotten fuel hoses and put new O-rings in all petcocks so only 1 fuel leak left. It's in the throttle plate shaft of the injector pump. Has anyone ever had this or tried to fix themselves? It has an allen head bolt securing it to the pump. I wonder if it may be as simple as removing and putting on a new O-ring? Probably not, but I know some of you have done it before. Is there any chance I am sucking air there as I still have a nice sputter. Leak drips about every 15 seconds when not running. 2) I will drain and refill radiator today. I know I had a small leak, but it seems to have sealed itself. I intend to fill with new fluid and put in new thermostat, I suspect there is not one in it. That may contribute to poor running, I do not think it is heating up much. Dealer told me that new radiator, if needed, is around $2,000. I about sprung a leak myself. Is that correct?
3) Raise/lower spool is leaking very bad. I have O-rings to fix. Can this be done without removing the hydraulic control valve from the machine? I really hate to take loose all those hoses. I will only create 3 new leaks with my luck. Per manual, it looks straight forward, I just do not know if I have the room to do it.

Thanks in advance for the responses. Once I get the hydraulic leak and 3 cylinders repaired, I will change fluid and filters and see how the hydraulics work. I am sure there will be more ? when I get there.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping you would chime in. I plan to take the cylinders to the dealer as they say the average cost to rebuild is about $40. Without having torque amplifier I might be better to let them do it. The hydraleveling cylinder is torqued to 1200 ft according to manual. I do not have that much rump. While I got you, how do you repair the leaky fuel shut off and return valves mounted at the tank. I put in a new O-ring, but I do not believe my return is opening enough now. Are these O-rings or flat rubber washers?

Also, do you have any ideas on the pump leak? If I knew it was not sucking air and would get no worse, I would not bother with it. I hate to remove that pump if I do not need to.

Just got some more good news via email about an aftermarket radiator. Now, I can sleep tonight.

David, The throtle shaft is in the return fuel side of the pump , it won't suck air there. The shaft is in two pieces , cover has to be removed , the locking clip removed then the shaft can be removed
from the pump body . The oring is in a groove in the shaft. Check the housing where the oring rides
for wear, most older pumps don't have a replacable
bushing in the bore but they are available but
you need a stepped reamer to cut the bore . If you get in a jam , holler , I have most of what you need. george
