JD2010C Steering Problem Diagnosis

I need help in diagnosing a steering problem with my 2010C JD dozer...

Lots of power, no slippage in forward or reverse when driving straight. When turning, however, pull the lever and both tracks stop. Once in a while one track will creep ahead a little. Steers well enough to kind of move it around with some frustration...

Also, I am wondering what the hydraulic lines going into/out of transmission housing do? Is this for hydraulic clutch? This particular dozer has an external hydraulic pump off the rear.

Any ideas? I just bought this dozer so don't know the history.

Any and all help appreciated! Thanks!

Does this only occur when turning one way? If so the opposite steering clutch is bad or misadjusted.

Further info - happens in both directions...

Can I adjust the steering clutches externally on this machine?

Yes, definitely. There is a cover over the steering clutch housings that you can remove to adjust them. Check your service manual, it will show everything you need to know.
