HELP!

How many teeth are on the BENDIX of a starter for a 2-71 detroit?

The facts are confusing me.

Every reference I look at, for 2-71 states the starter has 11 teeth.

12 volt, 11 teeth CW rotation.
However, when I pulled mine, it had 12 teeth. And yes, it was starting fine.
11 teeth? 12 teeth?

The starter # in my book is Delco Remy 1109114. My starter is a 1109114.

So should I buy a 12 tooth replacement like the one in it or 11 tooth as every reference I can find on 2-71 units?

Problem solved. It takes a 11 tooth.
Does anyone know of a better price for a new rebuild than the one at the link?
