I need some information on how to tighten the track of this old 3 cyl dozer I bought for farm work. It is about as old as you can get. How can I tighten the idler to make it tight. Some people say it is by grease but where is it located. I have not be able to find it. I do not want to loosen the spring or tighten because I hear that is very dangerous. Please help or if you know where a manual to buy is, please let me know. Thanks

The OLD Cat tractors adjusted the idler by turning the idler yoke shaft which is a BID darn screw and they are most times a real _itch to get free. I have worked for over a week with torches and 10 foot cheater pipes to adjust just one side.
