I found a number that is stamped on the blower side of block; it is not cast into the block.
I have noticed some differences between the engine shown in the manuals and the one that is in my crawler, the manual shows a removable plate to inspect the air box of the block, it should be near the air box drain. Or behind the Governor . Mine doesn't have this.
Can some one tell me why there is a difference?
The numbers I found say the following.
5023-7121
2D 10138

Thanks
in advance

One set of numbers is a Deere serial number they can cross reference. The other set are DD numbers that state the engine configuration eg left or right starter, right or left blower,V, inline, turbo, two or four valve, rotation, etc.
