Dan: Thanks so far. I got one cyl. off.
Might you know what thread size/pitch that hole
is? I couldn't match up anything coarse/fine or
metric to that grease fitting thread. Did you ever
have to pull out those "wear-cups" that the pins
sit it? Mine are OK, but I wuz just wondering?

The thread in the pin should be a pipe thread either 1/8" or 1/4" npt. If the "wear cup" you are describing is a hard bushing in the sides of the cyl. I remove them by putting a pass of weld around the inside of the bushing, this will shrink the hard bushing and it will fall out. Care must be taken when doing this to be sure you know that you are welding on the bushing only and that you do not burn through the wall. Also you must be sure you ground to only the part you are welding. This is the way I do it, keep in mind that it is not the only way and may or may not be the best way for you. Good luck and work safe.
