I am still working on a problem with my Bobcat 773 loosing power. I found that it is only when I try to go full speed uphill with a load that it almost stalls. It has 3600 hours on it and the mechanics seems to think the engine is just old and tired. Could he be right and that I am asking to much from an older machine like that.
If I go 3/4 speed there is no problem ( but it is slow ) so I was hoping this could be a fuel issue. There are no smoke and it sounds good.
It has the Kubota 2203 engine, would I be able to get the parts for the fuel injectors at a regular parts store ?
Any suggestions are welcome.
PS. I replaced all the filter including on in the fuel tank.

Trying to go full speed up hill with a loaded bucket is going to pull the engine down and try to stall if the hydros are good. They won't even do it new,you are going to have to feather back on the travel levers.Kubota fuel system parts are available at a dealer,or fuel injection shops.

I was afraid of that. I noticed last night that when it slow down I have some white smoke so I guess that means the fuel is there. Thanks for the reply.

It sounds like you are loosing compression. The Kubota 2203s are very sensitive to having good cooling systems; you may have gotten it a little hot and scuffed a piston without even knowing it. I work at a Kubota engine distributor and have seen this problem before. Check the fan belt tensioning pulley very carefully; if it slips it can cause overheating. A bad injector could be over fueling and causing the problem but don't let it go long without attention; if that was the case, you should be getting black smoke. The damage may already be done. I hope this helps
