Does anyone know what onan engine is used in the 444 bobcat skid steer. I know it is a cck, but I don't know the series number. I am also looking for a rebuildable engine if you know of one.

Hey Jack, have you given any thought to finding something other than the Onan to put in it? It may take a little modifying, but in the end you'd probably come out better than rebuilding an old CCK. I've worked on a couple of Onans over the years, specifically an old CCK several years ago, and to say parts are expensive is a major understatement. I had ro replace the coil on the CCK, and it alone was over $200. If I remember right they wanted something like $600 for a flywheel. The guy at our local Onan dealer told me "of the record" that Onan's basic, unwritten?, policy is the older the engine the higher price for parts. They do this to force people to buy new engines instead of trying to repair an old one so they don't need to keep repair parts for as many engines/models in production. Good luck in your search.

I think that all engine companys charge high prices for old parts. I have a wisconsin engine I may get to work. I think that there may have been some small tractors that used the onan industrial engine. I'm going to call some of the tractor grave yards I know of.
