I found a 440 diesel not running. 2cyl GM diesel? I want to try to buy it but I dunno the value. Do you dozer guys get a kick out of these 440 machines? I just like the little diesel motor. If I don't buy it, the fella might try to put a gas engine in it. I think that would be a crime!

I have one, bought it not running also.
Was seized up. 2-53 Detroit.
Picked it up a month ago, got it running and the front loader working.
Steering clutches are starting to free up.
Its been kind of fun.
But it is allot of work.
Paid 1,000 for it with hoe on the back.
Like I tell my wife, Can't get something for nothing. I thought is was a good deal. I don't think she does. Wait tell she wants to move a pile of dirt.
Not to bad as far as cost of repairs.
Some times its tuff to get info on how and what to do.
Good luck.
Scott

You stole it at 1K. Up here in canada a running unit normally goes off for 4-5K in half assed condition without a hoe.
That little 2cyl deisel puts out a lot of torque and gets a lot done.
