R.H. pedal steer brake only turns about 1/2 way -binds in reverse after running an hour or two.

Any suggestions. Just bought the H-3 dozer and also would like a manual.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Don A,

I've got an HD4 and an HD6. I've had no problem getting parts. The AC industrial dealer I use usually has anything I ask for, problem is the prices. Allis crawler parts come from several sources. The place I use sell used parts. They also have access to new-old-stock OEM Allis Chalmers parts and they are REAL expensive. Also has newly manufactured parts that come from Minparr or AGCO. I just bought an engine kit for my HD4 and it came in an AGCO box with some of the little boxes labeled either Allis Chalmers or Deutz-Allis.

What model is it? I have an HD3. A lot of parts are hard to find, such as internal parts (gears, shafts, etc.), but some are relatively easy. I had to replace a pinion in the final drive, and I bought a new one.

As far as being worth fixing up, to me it just depends on what you want to do with it, and how much time and energy you want to put into it. To me, any type of mechanical equipment is worth fixing up, if you have a use for it. Unfortunately, sometimes the age and parts availability makes it impossible to fix, and then it's off to the junkyard with it (this thought always makes me tear up a little). I am an Allis Chalmers fan, so I would probably be apt to find out the model before I gave it a death sentence. Good luck!

If you're around central Va, I know where sits an HD11G loader that you can rescue cheap. I helped the owner start it. Sounded great. Track's horrible and I understood unavailable.
