I have a 19?? TD 18. It sat for awhile before I got it and now that I have it running It won't steer. I am guessing that the clutches are stuck. When I pull the lever and push the break it bogs a little but keeps going strait. Is there a good way to get these unstuck? Also I noticed the the back stack smokes some and has a small miss to it when I give it the fuel. Would this be a leaky injector or something more? Thanks for the help, Shaun

On the clutch, are they dry or wet? If they are dry, put some kerosene (stop before the throwout bearing)in the clutch case. Run the tractor some, putting some load on that side as you can, and do that til it breaks loose. Then drain the kerosene, and run it for a while to sort of dry the clutch a little. ON the miss, it could be the injector. I would try bleeding it while it is running. You should also look for leaks anywhere in the system.

They are a dry type clutch, I will give it a try. As for the miss I noticed that if I loosen the bleeders #5 or #6 wile it is running the smoke is less. #4 seems to be loosing compression around the injector would that cause a miss? Shaun

Yes, losing compression around an injector will cause a miss. Does it miss more when you loosen the bleeders? If it doesn't, you probably need all the injectors rebuilt or replaced. I'm not an engine expert, know just enough to get in trouble, but that's probably where I'd start. Good luck!
