Searching for Case 450 track loader

I'm located in Central Northeast Pa. For several months I've been scanning the web and local publications for a Case 450 or 450 lettered series track loader to clean up around the farm. I feel a reasonable distance would be Pa. or N.Y. or fringes of other states bordering Pa. To date the few I've found are too distant or had an obviously questionable past.
I'm currently checking Lancaster Farming and
The Paper Shop. Are there any other publications in Pa. or N.Y. carrying this type of classified ads? Are there any used equipment dealers in Pa. or N.Y. not listed on web search sites? A little guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tractor Seat, Like John, I paid over $200 for a used manual. I notice one went on ebay for about $115 about a month ago. Good price. And, I think I saw another one listed last week that may still be up for grabs. If you knew you would eventually buy a Case 450, might be a good time to get a manual. These 2 are the only ones I have seen all year. I recently bought a 450B loader in really used (or used up) shape. Have spent the last 3 months working on it so I can not tell you how I like it. But, I hope to use it soon. I would be glad to share anything I know about them, which is not much. Happy Searching.

I think your choice of a Case 450 is a good one. That could be reinforced by the fact that I bought a 1968 model 450 late last year. Overall its a good machine. Not too big where you can't manuever and use too much fuel, but still big enough to do most anything you want to do given enough time.

I live in North Carolina so I won't be much help in finding a dealer in PA but I would not rule out using eBay as a tool to find good used equipment. I'm not of the opinion that eBay is the holy grail for finding deals, but you sometimes will see a machine listed nearby thats worth a look.

I ended up buying my machine from a local used equipment dealer. Granted it needed some work to get in into dependable shape, but it was nice to be able to check out the machine and then go think about it. The dealer also brought it to me for free.

I decided early on to buy the factory service and parts manuals for the 450. They aren't cheap, even used copies are over $200 but I've never regretted it. Its well worth getting the owners manual as well. Lots of good information in a small book.

Best of luck,
John
