I swapped out the old injectors (date stamp was 1959) put the new N-35's in.
Wow what a HUGE difference. Also put the new muffler on that I got from Lavoy.
It was quite a bit different than the one I took off, But man it's quite , I wasn't quite sure of it when saw it but after I started it,…. WOW ….its sweet. The new injectors make this motor purrrrr r, I'd have to say next to getting the motor to run, the new N-35's is the biggest improvement so. I would recommend these changes to anyone.
I was able to get the hoe off as well, it was a job and a half with no hydraulics, the hoses are shot.
I started to take the left final drive off, but it's been a real pain. The master pin in the left side chain was welded in there, had to grind the weld off, then hit it with a drift and a sledge. So far that was the easy part.
The bolts that go through the final drive housing were a mess, at least 4 of them. The head were mashed up bad I had to grind the heads off of these to then out . The others were very rusty and in such tight quarters that it was almost impossible to get them loose. I have one more to get out; it's loose now after two hours of work on this one bolt.

Iam sure that there is something wrong on this side, when I pull back on the steering lever I can see the throw out bearing making contact with the pressure plate, the bearing will stop, then if you keep pulling lever, it will make a pop sound and the bearing will move suddenly in farther, say about .200
I tried to adjust the bearing out more but nothing changed, something's broke or completely wore out.
I have to get that last bolt out then Iam going to block the tractor up and take out the 4 huge bolts that come in from the front, then I think it will come off. I think there are some tapered pins holding the cover on, right?????
Well any help you can give would be great.
Thanks
Scott
