Has anyone ever welded any kind of inserts in sprockets on John Deere equipment?"

My 450 has about two inches of adjustment left but the sprockets are worn to razor points.

Should I replace sprockets only? The pins have a little wear but doesn't feel like all that much, and none on the other side so they have never been turned.

As reasonable as aftermarket sprockets are, I don't think the weld in inserts are the way to go.
Keep in mind that just because the outside of a bushing feels round, the inside may be quite worn. If you measure the distance across 4 links (5 pins) 25.19" is new, and 25.67" is 100% worn.
