i recently purchased a 1959 jd 430u. it came with a loader attached that is working good. it also came with a backhoe attachment that was not installed. i have since installed the backhoe. i tee'd off the out puts from the diverter valve that ran the loader to run the back hoe. when i do this both the loader and the back hoe stop working. i tee'd off both the return and supply. it seems as if the presure is being bled back to the tank at all times. if i hook either the loader or the backhoe up seperately they work but not when both are hooked up at the same time. if any one has any ideas about how to pipe it properly i would certainly appreciate the help. thanx

That is an open center system. The oil will take the path of least resistance(through you tee's and back to reservoir). You have to plumb out of the loader valve(return side) to the hoe valve inlet, and the return side of the hoe valve to the reservoir. When you do this, put a set of quick connects at the rear of the tractor. When you want to mount and use the hoe, connect the lines to the hoe. When you set the hoe off, connect the lines together on the tractor so the oil returns to the reservoir.
