Do either of you know if the final drive for a 40c will fit a 420c,,, I found a good one for a 40 and if it will work I will buy it to fix my 420,, will the tracks and such on the 40 fit the 420 as well? Thanks,,,,Jim

The 40C final as a unit will go on, but if it is a 40 it is a weaker casting, and most 40 guys look for 420 finals to put on 40's. So check casting numbers to make sure of what you have. The 40's are a different pitch then 420. I guess you could change them but you'd be going backwards. The 40's have smaller bushings and a lower rail hieght. The 420 was a much improved machine over the 40. If you need any parts I know a source for new & used. Send me an e mail and I will send you a link to it.
