I would like to find the parts to install a hydraulic pump on a 4cyl Isuzu engine . I have a Lull 1800 skid steer that has a Vickers pump.

I have a good Isuzu enigne from a Luv pickup but none of the parts from the original setup to mate the pump to the engine. I would like the parts to use the Vickers pump or or a different pump with the parts to mount it to the back of the Isuzu engine.
I have contacted General Motors and Vickers and neither has provided any information.
I would appreciate what ever anyone knows about getting this skid steer together . Thanks , Bob

I should add that Bobcat, Gehl, Mustang and others also use Isuzu diesels and I would like to hear if anyone has information of parts or even salvage units that might be available . I am located in Iowa. Thanks , Bob

While the manufacturers use Isuzu engines,it may very well be a different series with a removable bellhousing adapter. Most of the Isuzu diesels in skids use an industrial bellhousing.Does the bell housing adapter unbolt from your engine? You can try GD Equipment in Shippensburg,Pa.717-530-0170, they have some salvage skids and might have parts. Have your engine model, size, series and whatever other numbers you can find off of it. If your engine doesn't have a removable plate on the rear,I would guess you are out of luck as you have an automotive block, and an industrial adapter can't be mounted.

Thanks for the reply . The bell housing does unbolt from the block . I don't know if there are adapters for a pump that will bolt on the block, but I do know that there are SAE standard patterns that manufacturers use for interchangeability of applications.
I also talked to a local skid steer dealer who said he would not recommend using an engine from a pickup truck because of a different power curve needed for skidsteer use and he said that they had one which had such a swap that they had traded for and they planned to replace it with the correct engine. Some time later I contacted them to see if I could get the adapter that and parts that they had taken out. They told me that when the unit came in they used it and decided the pickup engine worked just fine and they decided not to change it. While this did not get me any parts it did make me believe that the swap is possible.
