Lavoy,
Why do you need to sign up and allow a tracking cookie to read the message board?

You do not need to sign up to read the board, just to post. I do not know the answer to the second question, I had the board made, that kind of work is beyond me. My guess is that is a function of the hosting company.

I couldn't get to the board following the link, i tried on severals days, each time not allowing a tracking cookie. It would tell me the site Link is not available. I guess the host wants to sell the info it collects. My computer was so full of spyware and adware it was frustratingly slow, so i cleaned it all out and stopped allowing cookies. (and my snail mail full of junk mail too since getting on the net) I guess i'm an outcast, call me a renegade.

Dozerboss, try "Ad-aware" from "Lavasoft". You can download a free version. I searches and destroys tracking cookies. You'd be amazed what different sites put on your machine. Lavoy doesn't have anything to do with it, its how the company he uses for the discussion group makes money, most do.

Yes, there is also a spyware site. My computer had 130 data miners stored on it, unfortunately they already reported out my email address so I'm getting about 200 emails every day too. Lots of stuff you don't want your kid to see. Trying to findout about setting the PC for session cookies that are removed once you close the window. But For the time being no cookies for me....

Anyway back to crawlers. I'm sure its a site full of good info and they took alot of time to put it up and no criticism was intended of JD crawlers, just the ?. If i could have got on, i would have emailed him direct.

Tools
Internet Options
Privacy
Advanced
...Check "Override automatic cookie handling"
...Check "Always allow session cookies"
...Select "Third Party Cookies"--"Block"

Try that...although I'm no computer expert!
