Just recently I'm seeing small oil stains under the swivel housing on left side. Have gone thru the repair manual but not sure what I would have to replace/look for to stop this from happening.

I would appreciate any insight/suggestions as how I need to approach this.

As always, I appreciate everyones feedback!!!

Thanks,Tom

There are 3 oil seals that could be the cause,there is one in the axle housing where the halfshaft goes,there is one on the outer part of the halfshaft where it goes through the stub axle and there is one in the hub housing,to change the two on the halfshaft you have to split the swivel joint which is no easy job as you have to draw the two half king pins which are usually seized,if the one in the hub housing is leaking usually the oil leaks on to the inside of the wheel,check to see that the hub and axle are not over filled with oil.

AJ;

THANKS for your response. First, YES it is leaking on the inside/inboard side of the tire. So by your explanation it may be hub seal. From the repair manual that would seem to be the "easier" fix of the three. Also, will check for overfill.

Thanks Again!
Tom
