Mike P,
The early TD-24 tractors are equipped with a 24-volt cranking system and a 12-Volt ignition and if equipped with lighting system. Later model TD-24 tractors and all TD-25 tractors are equipped with a straight 24-volt system.

Mike, look at the voltage regulator it should have a # for voltage and an N or P for the groung. In warm weather they can start up direct on diesel but there is a lever to put them on low compression for gasoline start. I forget a lot about them butyou will know which way to put it when you start cranking.
Later Bob
