Road grading with a 530CK

Now forgive me because I'm just cutting my teeth with my first tractor. One of the reasons I bought my 530CK is to do road maintenance. Out here we're dry as a bone about 9 months out of the year and then get a lot of rain in 3 months.

During those wet months the roads on our property get very muddy. I know in order to keep them usable I need to get the water away from the road surface. This means trenching and drainage but it also means keeping water from sitting on the road. Right now I've got some pretty bad ruts so I'd like to fill them in and crown the road.

Are there any tricks for doing this kind of thing with a standard TLB bucket? Is there some way to get a tilt into the bucket? I don't have a 3-point hitch so a box scraper isn't an option. Someone once told me that you could get an earth mover like blade that would sit under the tractor and could be tilted to do what I need. Anyone ever heard of one?

Thanks for helping a newbie.

I own a fullsize JCB 1400B 4x4 backhoe I use around my property. Since filling in potholes by hand was getting old I decided to build a road grader attachment for it that I made from scrap steel and the front axle of an old van.

I attach the contraption to my loader with chains and pull it backwards to grade, so far it has worked pretty well for being homemade by a non-engineer type.

I posted some pictures and info about the road grader attachment at the following website:
