How do I id a Case engine?

I have a Case 210BH back hoe with a gas engine, how do I identify this engine to know what it is? Some claim it is a contential, but I have no idea. Thanks for the info..... .

Hi, The original engine would be a Case 126 cu in. You can put 148 pistons and sleeves in this block I've been told. I don't know of anyway to use the engine numbers to I.D. it. This is a early style block and won't interchange with a late model 148B. (different torque tube diameter)
