Yes, those picts. have been floating around the net for quite a while now. Last i heard they blasted the rock away from under and away from it, and backed it out.

This is the same pic that has been in the stuck and troubled gallery for a good while now. We work in alot of different quarries and I have heard a bunch of horror stories over the years. Things like dozers throwing the track near the edge, causing them to cut sideways and almost go over, transmissions getting "stuck" and not going into reverse til the last second, etc. I also know of several pieces that were purposefully sent over the edge by vandals...not a pretty site... No matter what the situation I wouldn't want to be the man in the seat working close to the edge that high up.....Even if the rest of the machine survived they'd have to replace the seat because they'd be digging it out of my a--...not to mention they'd have a time removing a foul smell from the cab....
