I am considering the purchase of a Dynahoe 160 for some general work around my 5 acres of residential property. I am told it is a mid-70's machine. I see from other postings these machines are slow and this does not worry me too much. Someone posted that they are underpowered. Does this mean they will not dig well? Do they use a lot of fuel? Asking price is ~$8,500. I live in an area that has a lot of gravel, rocks and boulders can be numerous. I also want to move some stone walls.

Thanks for any reply or comment.

Hard to work on and hard to get parts for. For that amount of money I would buy a Case or a JD or Ford. I owned a 160 series B for 4 years and everything I worked on was a horror show. Good luck

Good rugged machine, a powerful digger and lifter - but slow as hell across the road.
