Well I got to run my TD9 this weekend...she did ok... probably hasn't been run that hard in 20 years. My 2cnets..I think they underpoweres this unit. Any suggestions on getting some more power out of her. This winter I will probably punch her out to a 350 cu inch. Can you turn up the injection pump on these?? Where can I get a 350 cu inch kit?

I didn't think that there was that big of a difference between the TD-9 (335 eng) and the TD-9 91 (with the 350 Eng). I own a 91 series and it is defenitely not under powered. The 350 motor has never bogged down. Might be spinning tracks once in a while because I wish it weighed abit more, but the motor just walks over everything I need it to.

Just my experience.

I had the same problems with my TD9. I bought it as a basket case. We rebuilt it, the engine from the bottom to the top. At the time I also had an AC HD5 and as I neared completion of the 9, I sold the HD5. Boy was that a mistake. The AC would run rings around the TD9. I still have the TD 9 and 3 cracked heads later, it has sat for the last 20 years in the shed.

Well If I rebuild this I can honestly say it will put out more power when I am done with it. I build High performance motors all the time and might be fun to see what I could make her do. What are you doing with yours now...are you parting it out?? Do you have any of the old parts?
