I have a Deutz 3 cylinder air cooled diesel engine in my Waldon 5100 loader.
When I first start up the engine and begin work it has power, quarter of an hour later the power drops off, really drops off like the engine will want to stall out at full throttle if I don"t back off, pushing into a dump truck dumped pile of dirt.
All fluid levels are at correct level, all belts are working, cooling fan is working, what could be the cause?
Should I have the fuel injectors taken out and rebuilt? I put in a new fuel filter so its not that.
Your thoughtful comments will be greatly appreciated.
I"m at a loss, the nearest Deutz dealer is hours away.

One time i had a 62-06 Deutz tractor that was doing almost the same thing. I ended up finding a piece of trash in the fuel tank, that would drift over the outlet in the bottom of the tank and starve the engine of fuel.

There is a washable gauze filter in the fuel lift pump that can cause the problem you have should it be plugged, remove the top cover from the lift pump, you will need an 8mm wrench, take out the gauze and clean it,clean out any gunge that is in the pump, pour some diesel into it,put the bits back and try it,also make sure that the vent in the fuel tank is not blocked causing a vacuum, doubt if your injectors are at fault.
