Can anyone give me a part number for the piston seals in the main blade lift cylinders for my 2010c. It has a six way blade, the cylinders are 3" bore with 1.25" rods. I have the rod seals, just need the two piston seals. Also, is there anywhere I can get them other than John Deere? If I can get them elsewhere they will probably be cheaper. Thanks all

If they are o-ring type a hydraulic shop should be able to match the old one. If they are like a 450 there not, and are square cut. Jdcrawlers probably will help.

For a 450 the whole kit for the cylinder is around $35, one kit fits all. I go in and take care of business all new, job done. Good for years.

The seals I have are cup shaped. Are made of black rubber type material about 1" high. They look like a hollowed out hockey puck with a hole in the center. Two on the piston mounted back to back. Anyone seen this type before? Maybe they aren't JD cylinders.

Paul,

Give Baum Hydraulics a call in Omaha. They can set you up with seals for ANYTHING. (402) 345-8504.

I have an account with some, but I'm not sure if they'll sell direct to a consumer, but I'm sure they could give you the name of a dealer in your area, if necessary.

They are differant then mine. Trouble i ran into, was deere listed the cylinders and blade parts in a seperate parts/operators manual instead of the regular parts book. I had to track down an out of print book. Now those parts are online but only back to the 450 era.
Maybe deere themselves can tell you, if not one other place that maybe able to tell you what you have--Chance,@ (800) 462-8118. He sells the kits and parts for 450 and newer hydraulics but says call if you don't see it listed. Maybe a source of info at least. I have a 6 way blade, but i imagine it was redesigned. All the cylinders use the same rebuild kit. One source for used parts is Schaefer Enterprises 1-800-626-6046. They part machines and have been around since 67. A 2010C has probably been in their yard, and they may have a parts book to help you id the cylinder. Good luck.
