I think I know it`s a 72-31 that I have, with a 4-71 Detroit Diesel. Does anyone have any repair related info about this engine? Have heard it`s difficult to adjust the valves and the governor. Appreciate all the info I can get. Thanks /Dennis

Valve adjustments are easy. Governor adjustments are a bit tricky, but not rocket science. Injector adjustments that are done during valve adjustments require a timing tool that is easy to use, inexpensive, and available through Mac or Snap-on. Check around your area, if you can not find the tune up info, get back on here and post- I'm sure either myself or someone else will have the info.
