Looking to replace my D2 5U for something larger, and have found a pretty nice running D4D. Can anyone who has owned/run one to give me some feedback about them. This machine has P/S and Tilt, but left side track is wore more than right and is more slack. Otherwise it looks and runs good. My D2 is in excellent condition, has pony (recently rebuilt),pushes and turns well, and is very original, would be very good for small jobs or collector/shows. Comes with tri-axle trlr. specifically for this dozer, and other extras. Asking $8500 OBO. Call 501-993-8876 if interested. Located in Central Arkansas.

My family has owned and operated a Caterpillar D4D since 1988 and its like a member of the family. (The good kind that you like to have around not the kind you wish would leave).

Ours a powershift with tilt and has given excellant service in logging and road building.

It's the best value for the money in that size machine when you consider the typical price of this unit versus similar competitive machines.

It is a heavy duty compact tractor well worth considering.
