I work at Classic Construction Models in Beaverton, Oregon. We are trying to find a D6 9U in good shape in Oregon or Washington that we can use to take pictures of and measure so we can make an accurate and highly detailed model.

I have a 1958 D6-9U in excellant shape. The tractor was purchased in Walla Walla by my Dad in 1960 and has been working hard since. The tractor has been maintained and upgraded over the years. I'd be happy to send you photos via email.

THE D6 9U IS VERY POPULAR IN THE INLAND NORTHWEST
AS A MATTER OF FACT CATERPILLAR MADE VARIOUS TEST MODELS WITH DIFFERENT MOTORS AND SUCH FOR THE FARMERS IN THE COLFAX WASHINGTON AREA. THE TERRAIN WAS VERY STEEP AND REQUIRED GOOD FOOTING AND LOTS OF HORSEPOWER. I'D SAY CALL SOME EQUIPMENT DEALERS AROUND THIS AREA. MANY OF THESE CATS ARE STILL USED TODAY.
