I have a running 4-53T available. It runs but is reportedly weak. Should be a good rebuildable complete engine.

I'm in NE south dakota, up by Aberdeen. E-mail me at loy@truckworldsd.com and we can converse about completeness, condition, and price. It will be quite reasonable. thanks Loy

Nah, He needs a 53 series for rpm. I've seen a Dodge Ram 50 with a 4-53 dual turbo'd mill that churned out a 14 second quarter mile. Not bad for a " converter engine ".. [ converts diesel fuel into noise ] After that afternoon I got a new respect for the Detroit..R.S.

What do you mean by needing a 53 series for the RPM's? I thought that all Screaming "Ds" magically self destructed when an injector rocker stuck around 2750ish RPMs?

Nah, That Ram 50 I mentioned ran out at 4500 rpm thru an allison and it stayed together...If you ever get to a Diesel Drag Race You will be impressed. ,I was..

How about a 4-71T with 210 hp? I have an extra 4-53 but can't vouch for its condition. I suppose my newly rebuilt 12V-71 would be too much power. All are for sale. I am in Massachusetts.

71 series WAY TOO MUCH. as it is going in a supermodified antique tractor. the 3 - 4 -53 would be more like it. it wouldnt even have to be in perfect condition, it could burn oil etc.
