Do Case dozers hold up well, its either the case or a john deere that im thinking of buying. Just wondering which one will hold up the best and which one will push more will be 550 model in one of them, someone told me Case dozers weigh more than most dozers do.

It's personal preference.. They're all good machines. Some people have better luck with some over others.I'm partial to Deere but, that doesn't mean you will have good luck with them. There are plenty of " bone yards " where you can obtain used parts for the big three.. Good Luck.....If you know someone that repairs equipment have them look it over for you if your expertise isn't dozers

I have owned both and both are good machines. However I prefer the Case over the JD for the same size machine. The Case will outpush the JD everytime, and the Case will run circles around the Deere. With shift on the go and independent track drive a Case will push move in a turn than a Deere. You can put one track in low range and the other in high range and power turn with a load. The Case is faster in all aspects. I also like the torque convertor drive over a direct drive because it is easier to feather a load when finish grading. I am a contractor and a Deere man, but I will still take a Case dozer over a Deere any day.
