This is an cletrac model M2. It was built by Cletrac for the Army Air Core during WW2. t was designed to move large bombers around. They had a rubber track and were capable of doing thirty plus miles per hour. They also had an air compressor mounted on them and also a large generator. These were used to air up the shocks on the bombers and start the engines. Alot of the machine in the picture is missing. The engine also should be a large hercules. John Deere also built an unit that looks like this for the army air core. I have one of this waiting for restoration. What are you doing with this one or is it for sale. I could use some parts

I will be honesty with you in that I have only ever seen a couple advertised for sale and it was not for much. I think the highest one was 1500.00 without the attachments. I have never seen one other than pictures with the attachments all on. The only place I have seen them advertised was in military collector magazines. These were located in Colorado. They appear to be an one of akind with no market. If you are interested I would not offer much over junk price for that one does appear to be in real rough shape.

That is whats left of an M2!! The tracks have been shortened. There should be two top support rollers and four bottom roller wheels. It looks like the front of the track frame has been cut off with the front idler and moved back and lowered and welded back on. The engine would be a Hercules WXLC3 404 cu in 150 Hp at 3,000 rpm.
