I have to remove the starter. How many fastners to the bell housing and are they accesable from the top of the engine? Thank you

I think there are 3 Jerry and yes. Are you the Jerry that lost the fuel level dipstick? It's called a plunger and shown on the drawing with the fuel tank cap.

Yes I am the one that lose the dipstick. I will try asking cat for a plunger and direct them to the drawing of the gas cap. Thankyou

Glad you came back here, I copied a pic of the parts book and sent to another Jerry and he didn't need one. It's erased now.
