Oil pan take off on a TD-9

Someone told me that you have to take off the Leaf spring assemble on a TD-9 to get the oil pan off. Is this true>

brian, head to red power, we do the red cats everyday there. you just have to remove the 6 bolt cover on the spring pivot then raise the front of the machine and then place a 4x4 block between the spring stopper and the spring. now you can remove the whole motor if you want. youmight be able to do it with out raiseing the front, but i always do so it is easier to work on. of course this is the older 4 cylinder models we are talking about. thansk see you at red power BB
