I need to locate a grease gun with the coupler that fit's the large shouldered type fitting's on track roller's for a JD 350. Is this gun a low pressure gun? My manual mention's a special low pressure gun for this application. Was a special grease gun for rollers supplied with each machine? Would the right coupler and your everyday varity grease gun work just as well, or would you risk blowing out seals with it? Thanks for any advice and info.

If this is the 'button head' grease fitting, I believe these are available through NAPA($15 or so), and are probably also available through JD and I think CAT dealers also have them. AS for proper lubrication equipment and lubricant, someone else will have to advise you.

Rodger, I used a "needle point" grease gun coupler. I thought the button head coupler was too expensive. I angled the tip, so when I push in the little spring loaded gate in the button head fitting the lube flows eassier. I have an OC-3. It uses 90W gear lube in the track wheels. However, if I needed to use grease in them, I would've done the same thing. And, I can use the needle coupler for other things too.

JD sells the adapter for $45... 3x what NAPA sells for sounds about right...

I bought a button head coupler from NAPA last year. There are two sizes - standard and giant - not sure which one a 350 needs. My Cat takes a giant. Since I wasn't sure of the size at the time, my local parts store ordered both. The price for the one I needed was a little over $30.00. The other was a dollar or two less.

Alemite makes the 'Volume Bucket Pump' that is recommended for pumping the lubricant in at a low pressure. Available from NAPA but a bit pricey. Tractor Supply also sells Alemite and I suspect that they may be a little cheaper than NAPA.

I've seen one or two on Ebay. They usually start around $100.

i'm pretty sure a 1/8th npt grease fitting will replace the buttin fittings so you can use a regular grease gun coupler if you want.
