What years did John Deere switch from 450 to 450B,

Hi,was wondering what years the designation B,C,D and so on was changed for the JD 450 dozers,also what year was the first 450? Thanks.

Not sure so dont hold me to it
I think that "B" is for bucket loader
"C" crawler tractor.
"D" dozer.

not so. the 450 was made from 1965-1970 the 450B was made till about 75 then the 450C came out. these letters have nothing to do with whether the machine is a dozer or a high lift. I need used parts for a 450 hlr trans. please respond if anyone has for sale. JarveWhite@aol.com thanks.
