I have a 910 loader with a 3204 engine. Several mechanics have determined the injection pump is wore out. The local cat dealer wants $900 labor plus parts to rebuild it.They said parts generally run $1200-1500. Is there a source of a used pump? Are there independents that can rebuild this? I'm in SW florida and need the machine going but 2K would hurt. Ideas?????

BSer, fill us in on some details here. Unless you have been using poor fuel filters it may not be worn out. Well at least not the expensive parts in it.What is happening with the engine?

Hold onto your 2 grand a minute. What did you by pass? Make sure the fuel line to the transfer pump is free running, drain some into a pail. Then check out the fuel transfer pump bolted onto the side of the fuel injection pump where the priming pump is mounted. On top of the filter is a Tee fitting take off the cap and put on a pressure gauge and make sure you can get 5 psi cranking and about 30 psi running. Then if it doesn't run well think about spending your money on an injection pump.
