A friend of mine asked me to try to find out about an old dozer that he owns that he is trying to find parts for. He doesn't know anything about the dozer, except the serial number and is wanting to find out what he can, so he can order parts. Can anyone provide information as to what the specific numbers of the serial number stand for. I know somewhere in there it must say where it was made and the year and he needs that I guess for parts. I don't know anything about these things. Any help would be appreciated.

Fred 25 / Aug. / 2001

The International Crawler "Model 500" was manufactured from 1965 thru 1969.

The International Crawler "Model 500 C" was manufactured from 1970 thru 1974.

The International Crawler "Model 500 E" was manufactured from 1974 thru 1975.

Fred, will you check on the COMPLETE SERIAL NUMBER again ??

Cheers -- Milt

I have the following listing for International 500 Series Crawlers;

1. Model 500 / 1965 to 1969

2. Model 500C / 1970 to 1974

3. Model 500E / 1974 to 1975

It looks like your International 500D / 526 Crawler is a 1965 500D Crawler
