I've almost got my 440 Crawler repaired and in great shape to sell on ebay. All painted up nice, got the hydrolics fixed (pump replaced) and fixed some wore out bearings in the rear drive. But, I'd like to sell it with the steering workable. The right side works just fine, but the left side is out of adjustment and I was wondering if someone would e-mail me or send in direct mail a portion of the service manual that covers the how to's of adjusting the steering clutches. I can be e-mailed at Metterduder@yahoo.com or send direct mail to d Robinson Rt 3 Box 438 Metter, Ga. 30439. Thanks, David

open the top cover on final drive case , look in there for a set bolt behind the throw bearing, loosten it about 1 turn , using a long screwdriver or somthing like, slide the bearing untill it is about 1/8 inch from the pressure plate pawls. for the brakes i just back them off, and try moving the dozer pulling the brake lever , and just tighten it untill the clutch comes on before the brake.
