have moisture in my valve control in the raise/lower/float spool...been freezing up on me on cold nites... i cleaned out spool caps on 2 other spools (shorter caps on bottom for angle and tilt), but when i tried to remove the main valve (to lower/raise/float) i wasnt able to as there was not enuff room between bottom of cap and floor board and the spool was well inside the cap (ie no room to remove without taking off valve bank).... i guess i need to take off the whole spool bank to remove this cap and drain off moisture? there is a plug on bottom of cap but not sure how that comes off, it has got a slot on the bottom that must aid in its removal? is the cap supposed to slide off easily when removed? it felt bunged up when i tried taking it off, maybe a lil ice inside!! will the internal spool parts come apart when i remove the cap?? any ideas or help or suggestion appreciated! also it must take some adjusting to work properly eh, and i think the plug on bottom adjusts the system too (detent adjustment)

thanks for any help! oh it is a case 350..

Christopher, I don't know much about case back of the eagal on the grill but I think if you can get your machine into a warm place over night and then take it out and work it very hard the water will mostly boil off the system. Then change the hyd oil and filter. Bring it into some place warm again drain it and let it drip out over night then put the new oil in the next day for the oil change.
Later Bob
