Well, I've gone ahead and listed my crawler on ebay, but I sure wish I could find out if the steering clutches could be adjusted as it would make a big difference in the final outcome I am sure. I wish someone could/would give me some super detailed instructions on how to do this so I can get them adjusted or know what to tell folks who ask about them. What I know is this. I can take all the covers off the place to adjust them just fine. When I look inside the front round cover, down deep in the hole I see a 1/2" bolt that appears to be in a diagonal slot. This is on the inside. Next to this is a spacer that appears to be maybe a half inch thick that spins around on the shaft when I push on it with a screwdriver. I've tried to loosen up on that half inch bolt and make it slide into the diagonal groove, but I can't get it to move. It looks like it would be easy to do, and probably is should I know what to do. Please give me any help you can with this problem. Thanks, David

I posted this once before , but....
Loosten that 1/2 in bolt about 2 turns, use a long screwdriver to push on the bolt head , push it tward the outside of the machine untill the throw bearing (that half inch thick spinning thingy) nearly thouches the clutch pawls. retighten the 1/2 in. bolt.
try the dozer, see if it feels like it turns proper , if braking is weak; look in that square top cover again and at the top there will be a funny looking nut,(probably will turn hard, yes its a pain in the butt) use a flat screwdriver to turn it on further (about 1/2 turn at a time,(testing dozer turning in between) till it feels right) if braking is too tight do inverse operation.

Thanks Mike. I'll be going out tomorrow morning to see what I can get done with the crawler. I must have missed your earlier post, but from what you and Lavoy have told me, I think I can get the steering adjusted if it's able to be adjusted now. Thanks, David
